Shul Bulletin: November 2014
As the New Year Services took place, we at our Shul celebrated many different events. On Rosh Hashanah, all Shul participants entered a beautifully decorated Main Sanctuary, with all the new furnishings from Kibbutz Lavi in northern Israel.

Special thanks to Joel Glastein, Norman Colten, Andrew Maze, Jonathan Shapiro, Steve Reppen, Norman Ginsberg, and Mayer and Moishie Carlebach for setting up the Shul beautifully.

Special Thanks to our Chazzonim Moishie Simpson, Zalman Schanowitz, and Mendel Pevzner.

Many women enjoyed the new Woman’s Section on the second floor of our Shul. A surprise addition this year was a Coffee-Tea Room that many people took a refreshment break during and after the High Holiday services. More than 300 people attended Yom Kippur Services this year at our Shul!

A special thanks to 8 year old Rebecca Maze for surprising the entire congregation by speaking so beautifully on Yom Kippur urging everyone to “please come to Shul more.” Special thanks to Raizy, Menuchah and Shaindel Carlebach and Raquel Shor, who helped organize and conduct the Children’s Program during the Yom Tov period.

For Sukkot, more than 40 families purchased Lulav and Etrog Sets. The Shul built its own Sukkah in our new parking area, thanks to Moishie Carlebach.

The Shul sponsored its first ever _Simchat Beit Hashoevah - Sukkot Party with close to 100 participants. Everyone was entertained by “Mike the Magician”, and music was provided by guest star Rabbi Mendy Pevzner! For Simchat Torah, the singing and dancing went into the night! Close to 60 people attended the festive Yom Tov Kiddush-Meals and celebrations.

Yasher Koach to Norman Colten for the beautiful design and implementation of the Shul’s Entrance Garden, and fior the beautiful plants and flowers that graced our Shul Sanctuary during the High Holidays.

Mazel Tov to Susan Epstein upon celebrating her 91st Birthday on Shabbat Breishit! Till 120!

Mazel Tov to Ruth Hyman upon celebrating her 95th Birthday! What a Birthday Bash for so many hundreds of friends and Mishpocha! Till 120!

Mazel Tov to Sharon and Joel Glastein upon engagement of daughter Dana Lauren to Mathew Philip Alkon, son of Michael and Penny Alkon.

Mazel Tov to Rabbi and Mrs Yosef Carlebach upon upcoming wedding of son Rabbi Mayer to Sara Leah Feldman.

We need your help for the regular Monday and Thursday 7:00 AM Shacharit Services. Please respond by email to rabbi@waysideshul.org if you can commit ONE morning per month to help ensure our Shacharit Minyan. It will be a great help to our Shul Family to attend these services on a regular basis.
