Shul Bulletin: June 2014
Our Shul has just finished a historic May!!! Many new activities started, and our families celebrated in and outside of our new Shul edifice. We had a beautiful and spectacular Shul Family Shabbaton on May 10.  More than 100 people attended!   Chazzan Shimmy Miller mesmerized the crowd with his melodies and Davvening!  The Shabbat food and delicacies were delicious, and no one wanted to leave the Shul until late Friday night!   The Shabbat day service was equally inspirational and the Kiddush Luncheon was superb. Special thanks to Chef Chezky Adler from Chabad House for the culinary delights and for organizing the set-up, waiter service, and decorations.

We also are celebrating the completion of construction of the Aron Kodesh (Torah Ark) and its magnificent Jerusalem Stone Wall. Also, our new spacious and beautiful Social Hall has opened!!

On Sunday, May 18, Lag B’Omer, our Shul played a challenging baseball game with our cross-town Chabad of Elberon team.   Everyone had a blast!  And although we didn’t win, our team played excellently!  After the game, everyone participated in a delicious BBQ event with Dr. Martin Fried at the chef’s position. (We are looking for a rematch date, and all pro players are welcome to apply to our Shul team.)  Please contact our team captain, Noah (or Andrew) Maze for more info.

Our Shul also celebrated several wonderful Kiddush events.   Our new Shul Family Members, Lisa and Jonathan Shapiro sponsored a Grand Kiddush on Shabbat Bechukothai, May 17, in honor of their birthdays, and in honor of the warm welcome their family has received from our Shul members.

On Shabbat Bamidbar, May 24, Dr. Martin Fried sponsored a Grand Kiddush in commemoration of the Yahrzeit of his beloved father, OBM. The Shul made sure that all Minyans were well attended for Dr. Martin.  In fact, we added a Sunday evening Mincha-Maariv  Minyan at the Rabbi’s home.  More than 2 Minyanim (20 people) showed for this Mincha- Maariv event!

In general, our Shabbat and weekday services, and Torah study classes have been growing remarkably! Please come see for yourself the entire panoply of activities your Shul offers.

Our Rabbi was honored by Mayor Larkin and Town Council this Memorial Day, and led an Opening Prayer for the entire community on the Front Lawn of our Township Hall.

Our new Shul dedication Plaques are up.   Please contact Rabbi Carlebach if you wish to dedicate a Plaque in our new Shul Building.

Please make an effort to attend our upcoming Shavuot Services.
