Shul Bulletin: January 2016
Congratulations to all Participants in the Shul Chanukah Family Shabbaton.  Seventy adults and children enjoyed an inspiring “davvening” by Chazzan Shimmy Miller.  The Friday night Meal was elegant and delicious. The ambiance was so good, that no one wanted to go home!  And on Shabbat Day, we all celebrated the Birthday of Ruth Hyman, a beloved leader of our Shul and Community.  The Chazzan graciously entertained all with his beautiful melodies in Hebrew, Yiddish, and English, and then he even fulfilled the audience personal requests for their favorite musical songs.

Mazel Tov to Amy and Hal Greenspan and grand-parents Sol and Carin Greenspan upon the Bar Mitzvah of beloved son Harry (Chaim Binyamin).   Mazel Tov to Noah Maze for his beautiful rendition of his Bar Mitzva Haftorah on Shabbat Chanukah.  You sure made your parents proud!

Mazel Tov to Sol Greenspan for celebrating his 57th Bar Mitzvah Anniversary.   Biz 120!

Anyone wishing to receive an Aliya, or read the Haftorah, commemorating a special occasion, please contact Rabbi Carlebach at rabbi@waysideshul.org

Yasher Koach to all Shul members who generously pledged to the Shul at our “End of Year” Appeal. If you have not fulfilled your Pledge, or wish to make Pledge, please send to Congregations Sons of Israel, 1 Poplar Place.,  Ocean, NJ 07712

We have finished construction of the bronze railing for the Women’s Mechitzah in our Main Sanctuary. Yasher Koach to Rick Schottenfeld, who sponsored the decorative glass Mechitzah project in honor of his wife, Robin.  May you always have much Nachas together in honor of all the Mitzvot you perform.

Yasher Koach to Myron P. “Mike” Shevell for his purchasing of four Permanent Seats in our Main Sanctuary.

Please don’t forget our weekly Torah Study Group every Wednesday at 8:00 PM. (No Torah Group on Wed. Jan 18th)
