Shul Bulletin: October 2015
Our Shul celebrated a wonderful and inspirational Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur period. Our Shul Building was at capacity seating with close to 300 men and women attending services. In addition a wonderful and inspirational Children's Program was held in the Social hall for up to 50 children. Special "Yasher Koach" goes to our inspiring Chazzonim Rabbi Moishie Simpson from Brooklyn, NY, and Rabbi Mendy Pevzner from Brussels, Belgium. All Shul participants were inspired by the services, the speeches, the singing, and the High Holiday ambiance. The Shul "Tea Room" provided a delicious assortment of refreshment and drink during the Rosh Hashana days.

A special surprise announcement was made by our Shul President Andrew Maze, when he shared the news of the new Associate Rabbi position being bestowed upon Rabbi Moishie Carlebach. Rabbi Moishie has recently received his rabbinic ordination from the Rabbinical College in Pretoria, South Africa, and returned just before the Holidays. Rabbi Moishie was warmly welcomed by our Shul members, and added a new dimension of poignant vignettes and insights throughout the Holiday Services. Rabbi Moishie was also responsible for organizing this year's Simchat Torah Service and Party. Over 75 people enjoyed a delicious, hot, and tasty Kiddush meal, and dancing and singing went on for many delightful hours. This Simchat Torah was voted to be the best and most "freilich" ever!

The Shul decor has been enhanced greatly by the installation of a new Ner Tamid - Eternal Light, dedicated by Joel and Sharon Glastein and family. In addition, new artistically themed Yahrzet Plaques have been installed and are being sponsored by the Jerry Zaro Family, the Daniel Schiff Family, and the Dr. Norman Einhorn Family

All are invited to a Grand Kiddush sponsored this Shabbat Bereishit, Ocober 10 after morning services.

We have recently mailed the New Year 5766 - (2015-2016) billing. If you know of a family or individual that may be interested in joining our Shul, please notify our Shul President Andrew Maze, or email rabbi@waysideshul.org

If you have any family or friend in need of special "Mi Sheberach" (Get Well Soon Prayer), please email name and person's mother Hebrew name to rabbi@waysideshul.org

And you can even get a Bagel Breakfast to go! If you can volunteer one morning weekly or monthly, please let us know rabbi@waysideshul.org Thank You

Our Shul has installed two of five) Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques in the Main Sanctuary in time for the High Holidays. These plaques which will be designed (on a similar theme to our 'Founders Wall') by world renowned artist Michoel Muchnik

The first Memorial Plaque is based on the biblical theme of "Abraham's Tent" and the second Memorial Plaque is based on the historical "Rachel's Tomb".

Dedication of each Memorial Plaque (with a large Dedication Plaque -listing the Donor Family) is now available for a contribution of $10,000.00 The individual Yahrzeit Plaques will be available to all Shul Members, and Families for a contribution of $500.00 per Plaque.
